For more than 20 years I have been a photographer, writer, teacher and manager. I've covered national news events for all the major news magazines, been an award-winning newspaper staff photographer and taught Photojournalism at the university level.
From 2006 to 2016 I was the Director of Photography at The Courier-Journal newspaper in Louisville, Kentucky. While at the paper, I had the privilege to lead a top-shelf staff of photographers. As Director, the pinnacle of each year was planning and directing coverage of the Kentucky Derby; the region's flagship event.
Over the years, the passion to make images never left. Since leaving the newspaper, I'm now focused on shooting advertising, corporate and editorial photographs for local and national clients.
